Tsem Tulku Rinpoche (1965 - )

Tsem Tulku Rinpoche was ordained by H.H. Dalai Lama in 1987and is recognized as the reincarnation of Kentrul Thubten Lamsang, a respected 20th century Geshe from Phari, in Southern Tibet, being the incarnation of the 72nd Abbot of Gaden Shartse, which is one of the two colleges of Gaden Monastery, founded in 1409 by Je Tsongkhapa near Lhasa, the capital of Tibet.

With a Mongolian-Tibetan heritage, a childhood both in Taiwan as well as in the USA, plus his study in the new Gaden Monastery in India, Tsem Rinpoche truly bridges East and West. His extraordinary biography can be found on his website Kechara.Com.

Tsem Tulku Rinpoche has studied under, amongts others, Kyabje Zong Rinpoche, Kyabje Ling Rinpoche and Lati Rinpoche. He is a strong advocate of keeping a vegetarian diet. Even his dog, Yogi, is vegetarian.
Rinpoche offers to do pujas, prayers and make offerings for anyone who would like to commit to a vegetarian lifestyle regularly - be it once a month, once a week or for life. For more information, please, see his website. There are also plans to create an animal shelter.

Tsem Rinpoche has a blog (which he actually writes himself) and is on Twitter. Compilations of his tweets on vegetarianism and animals are:

- Staying in Samsara Forever!
- Don't Choose Meat!

- Loving Animals
